Capital Kings

Sometimes it's easy to overlook the meaning behind names of songs, albums or bands. For this writer, a fan of Capital Kings, it didn't dawn on me until recently the significance of the group's name.

Sure, it might be a "well duh!" thing for you, but for me, I didn't realize the name is based on their hometown of Washington, DC.

Jon White and Cole Walowac formed the group after meeting at church and playing music together. Their self-titled album arrived in 2013 and landed the Billboard Christian Albums Chart in the Top 5. tobyMac produced and wrote many of the songs on the album, including "I Feel So Alive".

Capital Kings released their second album, appropriately titled II in 2015. The songs "Into Your Arms", "Fireblazin", and "Into Your Arms" all reached No. 1 on the CHR charts.
