Crowder

David Crowder was at the helm of the David Crowder Band from 1996 to 2012. Afterwards he left the band and began creating music as a solo artist. Two years later, he released his highly-anticipated album Neon Steeple. The album debuted at No. 9 on the US Billboard 200.

Crowder's music has been described as "folktronica," which is a type of music that combines folk music and electronica. It often takes traditional acoustic instruments, such as banjos and guitars, and mixes in elements of dance rhythms or hip hop tracks.

This style is evident in the track "Lift Your Head Weary Sinner (Chains)" where Crowder uses a great blend of these elements, including actual chains that are are "played" throughout the song. In the official music video, Christian rapper Tedashii raps some verses during the song's bridge.
